There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. Your First Mud Run is the best race in the country for families and first timers! Our races are challenging but can still be done by almost anyone. We are “A Mud Run for EVERYONE!” We are the first Mud Run/Obstacle course in the country designed so that kids as young as five can run side by side with their parents on the same course.  9/11   9/11    Downtown Wildwood 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony 
On September 11th at 1:00 pm, a solemn September 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony will take place at Byrne Plaza, 3400 Pacific Avenue in Downtown Wildwood. Organized by the Wildwood Business Improvement District for the past several years, the ceremony will honor and remember our fellow Americans who were killed on that tragic day, as well as the first responders who have died due to 9/11 related illnesses. The ceremony will include 9/11 First Responders, representatives from the City of Wildwood Fire and Police Departments, as well as local religious and civic leaders. In addition to the speakers, The City of Wildwood Fire Department will present “Ringing of the Bell” and ”Presenting of the Colors” by the City of Wildwood Honor Guard. Everyone is encouraged to attend and remember so that tragic day is never forgotten. The Annual Convention of the New Jersey State Firemen and Life Members at the Wildwoods Convention Center featuring meetings, seminars and voting takes place September 14 – 16, 2023. Firetrucks from around the state will be displayed in the Wildwoods Convention Center parking lots and merchandise vendors can be found across the street at Fox Park. Apparatus and equipment display times are: Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Firemen’s Parade will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. along New Jersey Avenue, from Cresse Avenue in Wildwood Crest, proceeding north to 26th Avenue in North Wildwood.  9/15   10/1    Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest 
Join us for Oktoberfest September 15 – 17, 2023. Enjoy that ancient German tradition of merriment, roller coasters, tilt-a-whirls, beer, pretzels, and bratwurst! Mariner’s Pier will be open for Oktoberfest from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Fridays, from noon to 11:00 pm on Saturdays, and from noon to 5:00 pm on Sundays. Oktoberfest takes place on weekends from September 15, 2023 until October 8, 2023. Founders Restaurant will feature a special themed selection of Bavarian pretzels, bratwurst, German potato salad, schnitzel, and more. On tap, guests will find a wide selection of beers and tasting flights to be enjoyed at an outdoor “biergarten” located behind Founders with live entertainment playing every night on the Coca-Cola stage in front of the Ferris Wheel. The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast celebrating Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass. Spectators and racers alike will experience a simpler time of when guys were gentlemen and cars were king! From September 29 – October 2, 2022 over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947) including Indian, Harley Davidson, Excelcior, Ford, Dodge Brothers and more will compete in an exhibition style beach race at the water’s edge on the Wildwood beach.
