There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. The Wild Half race series is repeating our wildest race yet…The Doggie Dash! This race is definitely something to WOOF about because for the first time ever, man’s best friend and owner get to race together on the Wildwoods boardwalk and compete for some PAWfect prizes. Don’t have a dog but still want in on the canine fun? Not a problem, registration is also open to runners and walkers flying solo. You might not be able to teach an old dog new tricks but you can certainly register them for a tail-wagging good time with the 5K or 1 mile race. Let your pooch paddle in the pools of Raging Waters Water Park at Morey's Piers. Registration opens July 1, 2016 - this event sells out quickly! Man's best friend can enjoy an evening swim from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. (check in starts at 4:30 p.m.) located at the rear of Morey's Mariner's Pier at Schellenger Ave. Water bowls and free dog treats will be stationed throughout the water park for dogs to recharge as they paddle around the river adventure or play in the fountain pool. Monster trucks will race on the Wildwood Beach from Lincoln to Spencer Avenues. Friday night features qualifying races beginning at 7 p.m. (not a full show.) Saturday features two races at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday features title races and tough truck races starting at 1 p.m. Gates open one hour before each start time.
