There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. A free weekly ceremony every Sunday morning to raise the casket flag of a Veteran to honor and remember ALL Veterans, held at the Lou Booth Amphitheater at 2nd and Ocean Avenues in North Wildwood. Arrive 10 minutes before sunrise to participate in a 20-minute tribute and inspirational message at the most beautiful vista on the Jersey Shore. This location offers photo ops galore! The Flag Raising Ceremony is weather permitting as Veteran Casket Flags are not for all-weather. On the Wildwood Burk Avenue Beach! Accessible by the boardwalk extension alongside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Look for the purple yoga flag! Enjoy an easy evening of yin yoga and vibrational healing as the day winds down. We begin in longer held stretches to go beyond the muscles and target our connective tissue. This creates greater flexibility as we go deeper into the stretch. Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to any active form of exercise and can be practiced daily. The stretches will lead into a final relaxation pose. To aid your relaxation and allow you to fully unwind, I offer a guided meditation that extends into a longer rest accompanied by gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and bells as well as the gentle sounds of the ocean. I will share Reiki with each of you, as well, to enhance your healing. Class is approximately 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or a cover up for the relaxation part at the end. Bring water and anything else that will allow you to relax! $10 a person of two for $16. On September 11th at 10:30 am, a solemn September 11, 2001 Remembrance Ceremony will take place at Byrne Plaza, 3400 Pacific Avenue in Downtown Wildwood. Organized by the Wildwood Business Improvement District for the past several years, the ceremony will honor and remember our fellow Americans who were killed on that tragic day, as well as the first responders who have died over the past 21 years due to 9/11 related illnesses. The ceremony will include 9/11 First Responders, representatives from the City of Wildwood Fire and Police Departments, as well as local religious and civic leaders. In addition to the speakers, The City of Wildwood Fire Department will present “Ringing of the Bell” and ”Presenting of the Colors” by the City of Wildwood Honor Guard. Everyone is encouraged to attend and remember so that tragic day is never forgotten. Come celebrate Irish heritage with dancing, music, food and craft vendors daily. Other festivities include a golf tournament, Irish dance lessons, 5K run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, food court, and Catholic Mass.  9/30   10/2    The Race of Gentlemen Vintage Car & Motorcycle Beach Drag Races 
Spectators and racers alike will experience a simpler time of when guys were gentlemen and cars were king! 2022 marks the 10th Anniversary of this event. Over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947) including Indian, Harley Davidson, Excelcior, Ford, Dodge Brothers and more will compete in an exhibition style beach race at the water’s edge on the Wildwood beach between Spencer and Wildwood Avenues. Friday night features the “Night of the Troglodytes”, a pre-party chopper exhibit, entertainment and dancing. Race days are Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. which also features vehicle displays “Customs by the Sea”. Saturday night features a beach bonfire party north of Mariners Amusement Pier. Swap meets will be held daily on the beach at Schellenger Avenue. No coolers are permitted on the beach; beverages and food will be available for sale for your convenience. Please note that race times may vary depending on ocean tide! Full weekend passes are available for purchase online and at the door.
