There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. Wildwoods Convention Center and Middle Township High School. Atlantic Coast Championships featuring 225 competitive scholastic and independent units from nine states in the mid-Atlantic region, with performers of all ages, as they compete in color guard, percussion ensemble, dance team, twirling, jazz band, and marching winds annual championships. Red Bull Beach Scramble brings SxS racing back to the beaches of Wildwood, NJ! Hosted between the world famous Morey’s Piers, racers will face a challenging and fast sand course featuring a mix of natural and manmade features. Amateur and Professional racers, off road fanatics and fans are invited for an action-packed weekend of racing. The race will feature two competitive classes, the SXS Pro for more experienced racers and SXS Sportsman for amateur off-road enthusiasts. Event begins on Friday at noon with the Unlocking of the Ocean media event outside of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Festivities following the Unlocking of the Ocean include opening of the Kite Sales Tent, Friday Night Social via the local kite club and the 9:00 pm Illuminated Night Kite Fly. Saturday includes the Silent and Loud Auctions (open to all); and Saturday and Sunday include the flying of large inflatable kites, team flying, as well as family games.
