There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night.  12/4   12/4    Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Christmas Tree Lighting 
Festive ceremony will take place at the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse Courtyard, 1st & Central Avenues, in North Wildwood. Christmas tree lighting event includes music, refreshments, free tour of lighthouse and Santa Claus! 4:30 p.m. Free admission. 609.522.2955 or NorthWildwood.com 
       
 12/4   12/4    Greater Wildwood Jaycees Christmas Parade 
Parade registration/check-in begins at 5 p.m. at the North Wildwood Recreation Center, 10th and Central Avenues, North Wildwood. Parade lines up along Central Avenue and steps off 16th Ave at 6:30 p.m. proceeding along Central Avenue, then Pacific Avenue to Rio Grande Avenue, then turns onto New Jersey Avenue continuing towards Oak Avenue turning back towards Pacific Avenue and ending at Byrne Plaza. Awards will be announced for floats and decorated business lighting contest. Tree lighting to follow awards ceremony.  12/4   12/5    Christmas on the Plaza 
Enjoy the best festival in town! This family-friendly holiday event will take place at Byrne Plaza, located at Oak and Pacific Avenues, in Downtown Wildwood. Friday night will feature a Christmas parade awards ceremony, tree lighting ceremony, appearances from Santa Claus, carnival rides and more from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday’s festivities will take place from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. featuring carnival rides, vendors, holiday activities, family entertainment and story time with Mrs. Claus at 10:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 11:45 a.m. (bring a blanket or chair to sit on.)  12/7   12/7    Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day 
Event is held at the St. Demetrios Church, 321 St. Demetrios Avenue at the Hereford Inlet Seawall in North Wildwood, featuring a commemorative ceremony by the North Wildwood VFW Memorial Post 5491 at 12 noon. The service has been a continued tradition at the post since 1991 to honor World War II military of all services. Free. 609.729.5832 or NorthWildwood.com 
       
 12/12   12/12    ‘Pinch the GrYnch’ Boardwalk 5K Run 
This holiday boardwalk 5K run and 1 mile walk is fun for all ages! Event starts at 10 a.m. – rain or shine – with registration at 9 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Another turn will lead runners back to the Convention Center where refreshments will be served and prizes awarded. Runners and walkers along with their cheering sections can then enjoy the Holiday Bazaar held inside the Convention Center. Registration is $30 per person or $15 if you donate a new, unwrapped toy for local children in need. For more information call 609.849.8887.  12/12   12/12    Partners in Preservation Holiday House Tour 
This is a great way to start the holiday season! Partners in Preservation will host their annual Holiday Self-Guided Tour of B&B’s, houses, churches, the Holly Beach Park Schoolhouse and the George F. Boyer Museum in Wildwood from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Each location is different and even if you have visited before, you may find something new that has been added…perhaps at the museum where there is always something new. Start your tour at any site – a wrist band will be provided for a $10.00 donation collected at the first stop and is good for all places. Children 12 and under are free. Partners in Preservation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and preserve our community’s historic resources by connecting to other historic sites in Wildwood. Spirit Brands holiday cheerleading competition will be held at the Wildwoods Convention Center from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. {times are subject to change.} Event will feature performances choreographed to music and sound effects, and winning teams will be awarded prizes.  12/13   12/13    A Prelude to Christmas 
A Christmas Concert and Holy Nativity at 6 p.m. featuring The Notre Dame de la Mer Parish’s Adult, Contemporary, and Children’s Choirs accompanied by Brass, Strings, Woodwinds, Percussion, Piano and Organ, under the direction of Jonathan Delgado.  12/26   12/31    Boardwalk Basketball Classic 
The largest holiday co-ed basketball tournament in the country! Event is held in the Wildwoods Convention Center featuring an impressive lineup of high school boys and girls basketball teams from the South Jersey and Delaware Valley areas totaling approximately 1,000 competitors.
