There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. The 2nd Annual PigDog Beach Volleyball Classic will take place June 4th – 5th. Featured courts will be located at Morey’s PigDog Beach Bar, with additional courts on the Schellenger Ave and Lincoln Ave beaches. Teams of 2 will compete in various divisions based on age/skill level, while teams of 6 participate in a recreational division. Top level players compete for prize money and all lower divisions play for merchandise prizes. In addition, Sunday’s junior division winners will earn bids to AVP America Junior Nationals. A free weekly ceremony every Sunday morning to raise the casket flag of a Veteran to honor and remember ALL Veterans, held at the Lou Booth Amphitheater at 2nd and Ocean Avenues in North Wildwood. Arrive 10 minutes before sunrise to participate in a 20-minute tribute and inspirational message at the most beautiful vista on the Jersey Shore. This location offers photo ops galore! The Flag Raising Ceremony is weather permitting as Veteran Casket Flags are not for all-weather. Cancellations will be posted within a half hour of the scheduled service on the Weekly Schedule page on SunriseOnSunday.com. 
       
 6/7   9/13    Yin Yoga & Sound Immersion 
On the Wildwood Burk Avenue Beach! Accessible by the boardwalk extension alongside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Look for the purple yoga flag! Enjoy an easy evening of yin yoga and vibrational healing as the day winds down. We begin in longer held stretches to go beyond the muscles and target our connective tissue. This creates greater flexibility as we go deeper into the stretch. Yin yoga is a wonderful compliment to any active form of exercise and can be practiced daily. The stretches will lead into a final relaxation pose. To aid your relaxation and allow you to fully unwind, I offer a guided meditation that extends into a longer rest accompanied by gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls and bells as well as the gentle sounds of the ocean. I will share Reiki with each of you, as well, to enhance your healing. Class is approximately 75 minutes. Bring a beach towel and a blanket or a cover up for the relaxation part at the end. Bring water and anything else that will allow you to relax! $10 a person of two for $16. The official national competition in the sport of marbles for boys and girls ages 8-14 that have qualified by winning local tournaments throughout the United States. Wildwood Crest, Sunset Lake. Over 100 youth sailors from numerous clubs will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Yacht Racing Association’s South Jersey Summer Series regatta. Racing classes include Optimists, Sunfish, Lasers and 420s. Sailors will depart from The Greater Wildwood Yacht Club in Wildwood Crest, 6501 Park Blvd., with races being visible from a variety of locations along Sunset Lake. The regatta will run throughout the day.
