There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. Check-in begins at 9 a.m.; the 3 mile walk begins at 10:30 a.m. on the Wildwoods Boardwalk at Morey’s Adventure Pier, Spencer Ave. & Boardwalk, rain or shine. The JDRF Wildwood Walk to Cure Diabetes has become JDRF One Walk. JDRF One Walk has a single goal: creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). A weekly ceremony every Sunday morning to raise the casket flag of a Veteran to honor and remember ALL Veterans, held at the Lou Booth Amphitheater at 2nd and Ocean Avenues in North Wildwood. Arrive 10 minutes before sunrise to participate in a 20-minute tribute and inspirational message at the most beautiful vista on the Jersey Shore. This location offers photo ops galore! The Flag Raising Ceremony is weather permitting as Veteran Casket Flags are not for all-weather. The New Jersey Jeep Invasion is an annual all JEEP event held on the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey. The entire event is in the sand, just a couple hundred feet from the iconic 2-mile long Wildwood boardwalk, with over 300 rides and attractions. The New Jersey Jeep Invasion offers two and a half days of Jeep activities, access to the industry’s top vendors and an opportunity to play on our exclusive beach obstacle course powered by Rausch Creek Off-road Park. NJ Jeep Invasion also consists of a show and shine, which is judged by professional car show judges, and one of the area's most impressive raffles full of over the top items donated from our amazing show sponsors. Event is held in Maxwell Field, located at Youngs and Park Blvd., Wildwood. The Drum Corps competition will feature the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum and Bugle Corps as well as other teams from NJ, PA & CT. Celebrate Father's Day with the entire family. While there's always fun for everyone at Morey's Piers, Dad gets some extra TLC on the piers this day, with FREE admission to rides and slides! Games are held 8 a.m. - noon daily at Ringer Stadium, Wildwood Avenue and the beach, in Wildwood. The official national competition in the sport of marbles for boys and girls ages 8-14 that have qualified by winning local tournaments throughout the United States. More than 1,200 games of marbles will be played throughout the tournament! Some evening rounds of play proposed for Tuesday and Wednesday night. The Wildwoods, NJ is home to the largest collection of mid-century resort architecture in the country! Held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night in the summer, the tour leaves from the front of the Doo Wop Experience Museum, 4500 Ocean Avenue, in Wildwood at 8 p.m. Riders can re-live the exciting 1950's and 1960's in the Wildwoods-By-The-Sea. See the best of the Wildwoods' Doo Wop style landmarks while a knowledgeable guide in Fifties attire recounts the popular culture of the era.
