There is always something going on in the Wildwoods. There are events for everyone in the family such as the Boardwalk Classic Show, Monster Trucks, Motor cross racing and the Powerboat racing. The International Kite festival, Fabulous 50's Weekend, the Craft Shows and who can forget the Irish Festival. During the vacation season there is a fireworks display on the beach every Friday night. The New Jersey Invasion is an annual all JEEP event held on the beach in Wildwood, New Jersey. Yes, you read that correctly, it’s on the beach at Rio Grande Ave. (behind the Wildwoods sign)! The entire event is in the sand, just a couple hundred feet from the iconic 2-mile long Wildwood boardwalk, with over 300 rides and attractions. The New Jersey Invasion offers three days of Jeep activities, access to the industry’s top vendors, and an opportunity to play on our exclusive beach obstacle course powered by Rausch Creek Off-road Park.  7/17   7/17    Wildwood Beach Patrol 21 Down Day 
21 Down is a non-profit, Down Syndrome awareness group serving families, educators and healthcare professionals of Atlantic and Cape May Counties. Their mission is to create awareness and acceptance of people with developmental disabilities while providing information, support and community events for their families. The Beach Day incorporates safe, guarded ocean play time for the children and families of 21 Down, as well as opportunities for interaction and educational opportunities with seasoned lifeguards as they discuss beach safety with attendees. Short breaks for lifeguard style relay races, lunch, cold beverages and ice cream are also provided as beach safety is reinforced. The Wildwood Beach Patrol, with the support of local community businesses, strives to create great Wildwood memories for these children and their families with the Beach Day event. Fish for Life, a 501c3 program that takes special needs children fishing is expanding from the West Coast to the East Coast! 30 special needs children, 30 chaperones & 40 volunteers will board the 100ft sportfishing vessel “Atlantic Star” to enjoy a day of fishing……in grand style on Saturday, July 22, 2023! Opening ceremonies begin mid-morning to honor our special needs guests. After the speakers, a volunteer will say a prayer followed by the singing of the National Anthem and then we roll out a Red Carpet to individually introduce our honored guests and their chaperones. Fishing Teams are organized and once everyone is aboard, we depart to the theme song of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Seasoned anglers will teach the kids how to catch fish and a Marine Biologist will be aboard to bring an educational opportunity to the experience. Guests will enjoy entertainment surprises including (on occasion) a real live Mermaid and water-gun battle royale with a passing Pirate Ship! Bring your family and friends to join the fun as the North Wildwood Beach Patrol hosts Santa’s annual visit to the beach. Christmas in July will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2023 along the North Wildwood beach. Music and singing will be provided by lifeguards, junior lifeguards, and former lifeguards. There will be candy canes for all of Santa’s friends. Feel free to decorate your beach blanket to welcome the Jolly Old Elf. This is a free, family friendly event.  7/22   7/22    Wildwood Crest Christmas in July Festival 
The Borough of Wildwood Crest will host the 5th Annual Christmas in July Festival on Saturday, July 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will be held overlooking the bay at Sunset Lake along New Jersey Avenue from Stanton to Miami avenues. Come celebrate the Christmas season in the summertime with this family-oriented festival along Sunset lake. Live music with Jamison Celtic Rock (holiday-themed songs along with pop, rock and Irish), food, children and family activities. FREE photos with Santa! The festival will end with a boat parade in Sunset Lake starting around 8:45 p.m. The event will also include a house-decorating contest for bayfront homes in the Sunset Lake area, with prizes going to the winners. A fun event for infants and toddlers (up to 2 years old) to show off their speedy crawling or “waddling” technique on the day before the official Wildwoods Baby Parade! The Baby Waddle takes place on the grassy circle in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center. Registration takes place the half hour prior to registration which is FREE. Waddlers are encouraged to also participate in the official Wildwoods Baby Parade (a tradition since 1909!) the next day at 6 p.m. For more information call 609.729.9000.

A Wildwoods tradition since 1909! Registration at Wildwoods Convention Center from 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. No entries accepted after 5:30 p.m. Judging occurs while participants are lined up. Line-up begins at 5:30 p.m. Parade steps off at 6 p.m. SHARP at the Wildwoods Convention Center and proceeds 10 blocks north on boardwalk to Cedar Avenue where we will turn left and announce the winners & present awards at the boardwalk extension across from Morey’s Piers Mariners Landing. It’s the largest beach Frisbee tournament in the world celebrating 31 years in 2023, featuring more than 500 teams from all over the globe! Sat: 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sun: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The tournament is a 4-on-4 co-ed team competition for players of all skill levels, ages 18 and over. FREE to spectators.
